Uffe Christensen has always been inspired by sampling and experimental music. A fact most obvious when listening to his productions. Having began his creative process on his fathers old PC, it was a move to Cophenhagen, working as a DJ/booker and immersing himself within the city’s music scene that really helped him develop his skills and sound. Now living in Amsterdam and having dipped his toe into many a genre, his own work as Uffe is very much a musical menagerie.
Hot Chip will release their sixth album and second for Domino, Why Make Sense?, on 18th May 2015. Recorded in Oxfordshire and London and produced by Hot Chip with Mark Ralph, Why Make Sense? is the band’s follow up to 2012’s critically acclaimed In Our Heads.

German duo Robosonic have established themselves across the international scene as DJs and producers with a multidimensional electronic sound, receiving recognition from huge artists like Joris Voorn and Sven Vath, and we are very proud to welcome them on DFTD with their ‘Juicy EP’. Alongside them for the title track is Thabo Getsome. Having released on labels like Suara, King Street Sounds and Electronique Nu, it’s hard to believe Thabo Getsome came late into the dance music game, with his musical roots being in Hip Hop and Reggae. ‘Juicy’ is a deep club track designed for a dancefloor whereas ‘Busted’, despite its dance quality, is darker and more unusual.
